Today was Gabriel’s Honor’s Day. He was so excited to know that this would be the last day he had to get up early.
They started with the k 5 Graduation
Is it over yet?
Next came the library awards. He was recognized for reading at least 100 books during the school year and for taking part in the summer reading program.
Then came the Presidential Fitness Award.
It’s a really long time for these kids (and adults) to have to sit. Luckily it was a little shorter this year.
Then came the part we had been waiting on, Citizenship Awards. Angelynne told me a while back that he was getting it. I was one PROUD mama and Gene was one PROUD daddy! We decided not to tell him and let it be a secret. I think he was really surprised when they called out his name!
Even a child is known by his doings, whether his work be pure, and whether it be right.
Proverbs 20:11
*Good attitude * Wholehearted participation in all activities * General helpfulness to teachers and fellow students * Willingness to follow all rules*
And back in the room.
Congratulations Anna Kate on your Citizenship Award!
Then we just couldn’t drag him away……. he had to get one last swing in.
His surprise when we were back in the truck! (thanks Heidi for thinking of us and thanks Ms. Debbie for making that special trip)
